
Work together with Kurabesi Explorer, under development project for 27m long and 6,5m width traditional “Phinisi” sail wooden boat with 320HP enggine. Equip with modern communication system and 7 cabins (suitable for 12 guest), 1 small office room, confortable lounge, reseach platform, 50m2 multifungtion open area for training or meeting, on board UAV/small drone for marine and forest monitoring. Will ready for explorer by mid 2015.
The name of Kurabesi adapted from the Papuan locals community story. KURABESI is a well-known warrior from Biak and famous explorer in Biak, Raja Ampat and even untill Tidore island. Our Initiative with Kurabesi will include :
Mobile training and education program. We have a lot of open space in our boat that we can use for training and education on board. Our guess room also can accomodate volunteer whos commited to spend sometimes to visit and stay with local and indegenous community.
Transporting community product to the market. Our boat comittet to improve local community product and transport that product with using our boat to the market or collecting point.
Eco-tourims. With our boat promoting local culture and nature, bring the guess to be close to local community, enjoying the nature while supporting community development and nature concervation.
Deliver your support and donation to the locals and indegenous people to support like books, solar panel system, water and sanitation, medicine and nutrition, etc all to support them on education and social facility.
Using our Boat and working with local NGO to collect support like a solar panel, goods, sanitation support or whatever that can support local community and indigenous people livelihood and bring that supplies and support including training for them to the remote areas around the coast of Papua.
